Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf, Bangsar Village

"I'll huff and puff and I'll blow your house in!"

That's the first thing that came to mind when I heard of this place! I read the story of the 3 Little Pigs countless times growing up, so don't blame me for getting a tiny bit excited about wanting to check out what this quirky sounding eatery had to offer. Oh the curiosity sparked from a nostalgic fairy tale.

Monday, lunchtime and off to Bangsar Village - and so begins a fun start to the week.

This place has a rather weird entrance, adding to the fun. You'll have to walk into Village Grocer and pass by the bakery & organic area to find your way in. Lo and behold, you'll see a neon pink wall with an entry to all things porky.

Decor at this place is cosy with lots of natural light - during the day of course. Overlooks out to the outdoor car park. Not the best of views, but hey, I came to sample the pork :D

The menu is playful and whimsically presented in the form of a story book. Love! 

After browsing through, we settled for a sandwich and salad because the rest of the dishes sounded a little heavy for lunch that day.

Both dishes tasted just.. OK, with the pork being a little dry in the sandwich and salad. The Roast Pork Salad was topped with avocados accompanied by bunch of greens in a balsamic dressing. Nothing amazing for the hefty price paid, leaving me to believe that maybe salads isn't their forte? Tons of other goodies to try on the menu though, so not giving up on this place just yet. Or I could be slightly bias because this place has tugged on my childhood heart strings.

Browsed through Foursquare while waiting for our food and apparently The Wolf's Favourite, a creamy pasta dish with bacon seems to be a huge favourite. Oh well, a little too late, but definitely warrants a second visit to give it a try - because BACON. It also seems like there's a different, more bolder menu titled The Big Bad Wolf after 6pm. Oooooo. Yup, coming back for sure!
